headaches

I get horrible headaches very often. And I really do mean horrible. Enough that I am literally sitting in my office right now with the blinds closed and all the lights off except for one. Today's is really bad. (Thank goodness the sore throat that came with it is gone or else I never would have made it to campus today.)

I know what causes them. Its stress and irregular sleep patterns. I just can't ever get them to go away! I've tried everything that I can think of. Recently, they have decided to last for a few days and make it impossible for me to get almost anything done.

Do you have any good headache remedies before this one knocks me out for the rest of the week?

I feel your pain :( I get the sinus variety that knock me on my back. I'm sure you've got a nice boy who will rub your neck and shoulders for you, so a lot of that tension can be relieved. I also HIGHLY recommend ice packs-- regular kind that you can lie on with a nap, and also the face mask kind. They work like a dream. Heating pads also do well to loosen up the tension I get as a result of the sinuses. And lots of pain reliever-- currently I'm liking Excedrin Tension Headache.

Have you seen a doctor? It might not be a bad idea. Stress and irregular sleep certainly have something to do with it, but there might be something bigger going on too. FEEL BETTER!
