Sad days in the Lewis house

We are just about dying for a puppy. We finally decided to approach our landlord about getting a little dog. We had a solid argument and really thought that he was going to let us. He "thought" about it for almost a week and then still came back and said no. We really thought he'd let us... we take care of the yard, the apartment is basically a dump, I'm home most of the days now, and we're really, really good tenants. We had found a little guy that we really really wanted, and are super sad that we couldn't pick him up on Saturday....

We are super bummed. We've started looking for a new place, but aren't having much luck finding anything in our price range that is nice, big, and pet friendly. We found one apartment, but someone else had just signed a contract minutes before I called.

We're just a little sad and really wish that we could have the best of both worlds and get a little doggy and stay in this apartment... oh well.
