Things are going pretty well for me! I've had basically all the crazy pregnancy symptoms. I was sick for a few weeks during the first trimester, and have suffered through 2 hits of the stomach flu in the last month. So fun! I've been a little moody, and for the first few months nothing tasted good to me. And I mean NOTHING. Not even Cafe Rio. It was rough.
Right now, I'm doing lots better. Trevor and I both had the flu this week, but now that its passed, things are really looking up. I got new nausea meds that are working wonders (and I can take a whole pill AND still drive! Hooray!) and I'm starting to sleep through the night again. I'm not having as many mood swings and its been weeks since someone made me cry at work! (Color Me Mine during Christmas while hormonal is basically the worst thing ever. I don't know how many times I came home in tears or had to go hide out in the back for a bit.... gotta love pregnancy hormones!) We heard the heart beat a few weeks ago, which was really cool and made everything seem a whole lot more real. We will find out the sex in about 4 weeks and can't wait to see out little one!
In other news, Trevor's foot is healing. Very slowly. He's getting better, but I don't think that he will be back up to 100% for a long time! He is still looking for a job, and we are both praying that something will pull through very soon. But, he is doing well!
Also, for those of you that asked, Trevor and I will not be going to the Simmons Family beach vacation this summer... such a bummer! Our baby is due to arrive right smack in the middle of the 2-week trip. But, my parents are still going for the whole 2 weeks and will meet our little one as soon as they get back! Trevor has a lot of family close and we will be in very good hands. We're sad that we aren't going, and we don't want my parents to miss out on the best vacation ever!
