I love this talk.
You can find it here, if you want.
Elder Richard J. Maynes shared a great story about kids learning how to
do pottery on a potter's wheel.
In order for it to work, the clay has to be in the very center of the wheel.
Just like Christ needs to be in the center of our lives.
He said, "If our lives are centered in Jesus Christ, He can successfully
mold us into who we need to be in order to return to His and Heavenly Father's
presence in the celestial kingdom. The joy we experience in this life will be in
direct proportion to how well our lives are centered on the teachings,
example, and atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ."
Having a Christ centered life and home is what I am really working toward.
The world has really changed since I was a little kid, and
I feel like, if we are going to be able to raise our children in righteousness
and in the Gospel, we have to have a Christ centered home.
We pick a scripture at the beginning of the month to say every night together,
and we are always reading Book of Mormon stories together.
And these conference talks.
I just want everything centered around Christ for myself and my family.
I know it is the best way.
And because they're ADORABLE:
Also, there is a new campaign thing going around instagram
called #mormonbychoice.
I think its great!
Check it out and maybe add your own post about why you
are Mormon by choice.
Have a happy Monday, too!
This week is a bit crazy for us.
We have preschool at our house this week and then we
are getting all geared up to give Hayley her special baby blessing this weekend.
