Tonight was the General Women's session of conference.
I will admit, I planned to wait until the girls were in bed to watch it,
but it kinda backfired.
Hayley was struggling falling asleep (teething?) and Piper was pounding
on her door the entire time.
So, I wasn't in the most receiving of moods.
haha
But I loved what I heard.
I felt impressed to write down a few of my feelings after listening,
and this place is easiest for me.
I loved so many of the talks.
But what stood out to me most was the feeling that
service is the most important.
Serving each other and finding ways to bring those around us closer to God
is the most important.
Right now, for me, serving my family and teaching my children the gospel
is the most important.
It is often hard for me to remember this.
I get so frustrated and worn out-being a mom is exhausting.
So any time that I am reminded that what I am doing is
my most important work,
its always good for me to hear.
I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
I love the Gospel and I love my Savior.
Each day I strive to serve and to be better.
I'm far from perfect, but I think my heart is in the right place.
And hopefully tomorrow is better than today.
I can't wait until next weekend to hear more from our wonderful leaders!
