beauty and the beast jr.

Piper and I got to go see
Beauty and The Beast JR. over at Hale Center Theater in Orem.
It was so fun!
The kids were all great and she loved it!

She was pretty scared of the beast and the wolves, but it was kind of adorable
when she put her little hands up to cover her eyes every time the lights went out.
She kept saying, "Can the beast turn back into a boy now? I'm scared of the beast."

And my personal favorite, when Belle and the Beast were in the library,
"Mom, they are being way too loud in that library!"
haha

Love this girl! It was so fun to go and do something special just us two!

Thanks Lizzy for the tickets!

Salt Lake Bees

On Friday, Trevor and I went to the Bees game with Trevor's family.
We had so much fun!

Thanks Richard for inviting us and NuSkin for letting us use their box suite seats.
Baseball games are much more enjoyable with free food and air conditioning.

Thanks again!

And thanks to Kate for babysitting! We really enjoyed a quiet night out.
(Yes, I consider a baseball game quiet. You would too after a few hours with Piper. haha)

Natalie McMaster

On Saturday, Trevor and I were able to go see one of my favorite fiddlers in Salt Lake.
We went with Brianna and Rob and had a blast hanging out with them!

The concert was pretty great, too!
Here's a video of one of her tunes.
She's very good and has a really fun stage presence.

I think my parents had a lot of fun watching Piper for us too!
She loves her sleepovers with them and spent all Sunday telling us about "mama and papa".

from the last few days

Piper has always thrown such a fit anytime that I've tried to practice my violin,
but last week, she didn't!
I practiced for a whole hour and she mostly just danced.
Who knew that scales were the perfect tune to rock out to?

She spent HOURS playing in/on/around an IKEA bag the other day.
Why do we even have toys?

I got these cute magnets last week.
They have made dinner time much easier :)
Piper loves them.

Sweet Tooth Fairy cookies are the best!
Way better than their cupcakes.
Our favorites are the Iced Oatmeal and the Black and White.
So good!

We hit up a couple yard sales this weekend.

Piper had a sleepover with my parents over the weekend
and Trevor and I enjoyed a fun couple days!
We went and saw a movie, went to dinner, and hiked up the mountains!
Utah can really be GORGEOUS sometimes!

And this picture because its HILARIOUS!
I forgot the flash was on when I went to take a picture the other morning.
They look like TWINS! haha

Hope everyone is having a fun week!!
XOXO

from my phone

chillies kills my waist-line. mainly because i can't eat there without ordering their molten-lava chocolate cake.
i blame my cousin brianna and aunt tori for this addiction.

working on my cake stand. normally my color me mine paychecks barely made it out the door back in high school. i've worked there for almost 2 months, and this is the first and only thing that i have bought.
(that is not entirely true, but i can't post about the other stuff...they're gifts and nowhere near finished)
I have a little more to add to this, but let me know what you think!
it will turn out a lot darker and it has a little stand thing that will be fused to the bottom, too.

Date Night and a new edition!

First, Check out my sweet PINK new wii remote and nun-chuck!

Also, the hair. Its not clean or anything. But its shorter and a warmer brown color. I really like it and will hopefully get a better picture up here soon!

In celebration of our 1st date 2 years ago... we attempted to re-create that night.

We started at Bajio, where we went on our first date by default because the line at Chilli's was super long. This was followed by Cold Stone. We went to Iceberg on our first date, but we had a gift card to Cold Stone, so we headed there instead.

It was a really fun night that ended with us coming home and playing some Just Dance 2. Love it!

Have a happy weekend! We don't have any other real exciting plans except a bunch of homework. Gotta love college, I guess.
