England

5 years ago I was in England.
I met the greatest people and learned so much!
I think about it every day and can't wait to take Trevor and my babies (maybe)
someday!

Good memories!
I can't believe how long it has been....
It breaks my heart a little to know how long its been.

I love England and really can't wait to go back!

finals

I just finished my last final of the semester. None of them went particularly well, but at least they're over. School starts again on Tuesday... not much of a break. Awesome.

These days, I'm mostly just day dreaming of taking a month-long trip to London, Paris, and Scotland. Sadly, I wake up and realize that I'm still in Provo. Bummer. Anyone want to hook me up with a trip out of this state??? Cloudy days like today remind me of my time in Europe. I think about it every day and look forward to the day that I get to go back! I hope its sooner than later. I'm dying for some big fluffy clouds and the color of green that you can't find anywhere in Utah.

P.S. Our 1 year anniversary is Saturday! Time is flying by! I really can't believe it. We still don't have any fun plans put together. If you have any good ideas, let me know :)

England

Proof that I was there:

Sometimes I feel like I never went to England. It makes me really sad. Then there are the days when it feels like "home" is really 27 Palace Court.

I miss England so much it hurts. I miss the friendships, the history, the traveling, and the chocolate. :)

In my British history class, recently we've been talking about a few of the major Gothic Cathedrals that popped up during the reign of Henry II (don't quote me on this. It might not be totally true.... just so you know.) and its been making me ache to go back. The pictures of the AMAZING buildings that I was lucky enough to walk through and killing me. Not to mention, I'm getting all kinds of new ideas of things to see and do when I go back!!

On a bit of a happier note, we're going to Park City this weekend with my old roommates! Its going to be really fun and I'm really really really really looking forward to Friday!

OOOHHH! Today we made some more flower things in my floral class. I"m really loving it! Its more fun than I thought it would be and I'm thinking that this might be something fun to do. I'm definitely still learning, but really enjoying it. I'll post some pictures of my new things tomorrow!

Happy Tuesday!

The time I flashed the missionaries

When I was on my study abroad to England, I had many, many embarrassing things happen to me. The best one happened on one of our first Sundays there. It was after a group of us had taken a trip to Brighton (to get husbands..) and I had bought this beautiful wrap skirt. (I would post a picture, but there is a reason why I don't have a single picture of me wearing it.) That Sunday, I wore it to church.

Getting to church was a bit of a trek. We had to leave almost 2 hours before we wanted to get there. We had a 45 minute tube ride, with 2 train changes and then a half hour or so walk to the church building. (We could've done it faster, but we were cheap and this way we didn't have to spend any extra cash!)

This was a relatively long trip compared to what I was used to at home.

Well, on these long trips to church I was almost always carrying this tan bag (pictured above). This bad tends to add a large amount of friction to whatever it is touching.

On this particular day, when I was wearing my wrap skirt and carrying this bag, the worst thing happened. Through our walk and tube rides, the bag had been gradually pulling up my skirt. Since it was made with such a light fabric, I hardly noticed anything. We walked into the church building, greeted our friends, shook hands with the many missionaries and walked into the chapel.

Finally someone told me about my skirt!! This adorable black lady came up and put her arm around me and said, "honey, you just flashed the missionaries.."

I was mortified. It was the WORST! I couldn't believe that no one had told me that my ENTIRE leg was showing because my skirt was hiked up so high!

This honestly might be one of my most embarrassing moments. But I will never forget that funny lady with her awesome accent calmly telling me about my skirt.

Poor, poor Elders.
