pumpkin carving 2016

In an effort to keep up my "cool mom" status,
we carved a pumpkin this year!
We skipped it last year, so I figured we should.
So, we stripped the baby down to her diaper,
cut the pumpkin open, and let them go!

Piper hated the insides and wouldn't touch them.
Trevor helped Hayley put her hand in and she got SUPER mad.
But she liked hanging out on the table.

Piper helped pull out about 10 seeds before she called it quits and turned the
job over to Trevor. Ha!

We went with a classic face this year.

And the picture below is so blurry, but its Hayley's reaction when we turned the lit
pumpkin around for her to see.
She was SO excited and it was adorable!
(She was also covered in spaghetti sauce. We had to start dinner in the middle.
She was a bit of a mess. haha)

We had to do a little porch pic, too!
I forgot how difficult 1-year-olds can be.
They just want to GO! All the time!
So hard to get a decent picture. haha
But they are SO fun!

Love these girls of mine!
Even if they do drive me a bit crazy sometimes.

pumpkin patch

Piper and Hayley and I met up with Kathryn and her girls for a little
play at the pumpkin patch.
We had a blast!
We are going to try and go again next week and hopefully stay a bit longer.

Hayley LOVED the freedom.
She walked everywhere.
The ground was a bit lumpy, so she face planted a few times.
And lost a shoe (pic above) but we found it after. haha

Piper was too busy for photos.
And she didn't want to sit on the "pokey stuff".

I sure love these little girls!
Its so fun to get out and do things with them sometimes.
Our schedule is a bit all over the place sometimes with my
lessons, and preschool and stuff.
But when we can, we love to play!

Pumpkins

Last night, we carved some awesome pumpkins! It was so fun to spend some time together not stressing about school as much, and to just do something really cool.

I had spent some time at work looking for pumpkin stencils and found some really great ones! We decided to go all out this year and make something different than just a jack-o-lantern.

Oh! I learned this trick in my floral design class. You can rub cinnamon, cloves, or other yummy spices onto your pumpkin lid! That way when you have a candle inside your pumpkin it smells really really good! TRY IT! It was such a good idea, and it took away the smell of pumpkin in our apartment.

Carving away!

My Kitty! Isn't she cute???

Trevor's skeleton! I can't get over how cute he is!!!

We also carved "Lewis" into a pumpkin. (We went all out this year haha)
This is all 3 of our pumpkins outside on our porch!

After the carving!
We had so much fun!

But, now its time to get back to work for the rest of the day....

Happy Halloween!!
