The Lewis' take St. George - Part 2 swimming and more

We had a blast hanging at the hotel pool for a few hours every day.
The girls both loved it!

And on Saturday we spent a few hours at the Children's museum.
It was a blast!

After the museum, we headed out to Veyo to try Veyo Pies.
We got three slices of pie to share and a few sandwiches.
It was SO yummy!
I'm regretting not buying a whole pie to bring home!

And Saturday night we had dinner at Ice Berg.
It was fun! We even ran into a few of Trevor's friends from high school.
So random!

When we parked at Ice Berg, we didn't know that they were having a little vintage car show that night.
So, by the time we were leaving, our honda odessey was in the middle of the show.
We felt so silly when we were pulling out and leaving. haha

Both girls crashed so hard every night and were so sweet!

Since we drove home on Sunday, I thought it would be fun to hit all the temples between St. George and Orem.

The St. George temple is always a fun visit.
We chatted with some sister missionaries and enjoyed a few short videos.

We made quick stops at the Cedar City and Payson temple.
But it was super windy and hot, so we stayed in the car.

But we did enjoy a nice stop at the Provo City Center Temple for a bit.

It was a nice getaway!
Sometimes we just need a change of scenery and some good family time!
We really enjoyed being together.

The Lewis' take St. George - Part 1 - Zion's National Park

We headed to St. George over the weekend on a little family getaway!
It was just what we needed.
Some playing together and a change of scenery!

Friday morning, we headed to Zion's National Park.
It was the perfect day!
We went on a beautiful hike to the Emerald Pools and continued on the Grotto Trail.
It was around 3 miles and little Hayley walked almost the whole way.
She LOVED it!
Piper was full of all sorts of dramatics and kept saying things like,
"This desert is the worst" and "Its just so stinking hot"
to every single person we passed on the trail.

After the short walk to the Weeping Rock, we could tell both girls were ready to crash.
We had a quick lunch and then drove up through the tunnels in the park.
Its a fun drive if you haven't done it before!

Then we were on our way back to the hotel for some swimming!

I thought it would be easier to split our trip into 2 posts, so be on the lookout for
PART 2 tomorrow or Thursday sometime.
