On Monday morning, bright and early,
Trevor had his shoulder surgery.
Everything went smoothly, but they needed to do a bit more
than we originally thought.
His surgeon repaired his labrum tear, removed a bunch of inflamed tissue,
and shaved down the top of his rotator cuff bone.
After running the girls to where they needed to go,
pre-school and Lizzy's house,
I got to the hospital to be there with Trevor once he was out of
post-op.
We packed him up and took him to his mom's house,
where he has spent the last 2 days.
We've been over visiting and helping during the afternoons.
Poor Hayley has really had her world turned up-side-down
after our trip to St. George and having not been home much.
I will be picking him up tomorrow and bringing him home,
so that will be good.
So far, he's doing better than I expected.
He's in pain and pretty tired, but he's being awesome.
Its a lot to take care of someone in a giant sling and big ice pack.
He can't really move around well, but he's getting better.
And he's cute!
We've spent some time watching movies and spending some time
just being together.
I"m excited to bring him home, but I know its going to be a crazy little while for us.
He will be in his sling at ALL times until about Christmas,
and then he will have about 6 months of physical therapy.
Its a LONG road, but I think he's going to make a great recovery!
If anyone wants to come visit,
I'm sure he would love a visitor or two.
Wish us luck!
