Piper is 5!!!

I can't believe my little girl is 5! 

She's getting so big and grown up!

She's feisty, independent, and full of life!

She really is the most energetic person I've ever known! 

She wakes up bouncing and ready for the day the second she opens her eyes. 

And most nights she's skipping into bed. 

And here's her birthday interview!

Its a little bit long, but it really shows some of her sweet

Today is my honey's Birthday!

Its a special day!

Piper and I are so lucky to have him!

He is always making us laugh and taking such good care of both of us.

Trevor is the greatest husband and father.
He is such a hard worker and we are grateful for everything he does.
Even if it means we don't get to see him very much.

Trevor's birthday was yesterday! 

Its always so fun to celebrate birthdays, especially of the one's you love!

It was a really fun day!

Slightly chaotic, but so fun!

Our oven decided to stop working when I was right in the middle of a batch of cookies, so 

the dinner that I had planned didn't get made. 

Bummer.

And we are without an oven or a range until Tuesday. 

At least I finished his special Oreo Cheesecake before the oven died!

Thanks to everyone that came to party with us. 

 

So, happy birthday to my love!

I'm so lucky to have Trevor in my life and hope that this next year is a great one for him!

Today is my cousin's, Brianna's, Birthday!! She's such a great friend to everyone and one of the most genuine people I know! I love her a lot and hope she has such a great day!

Trevor made the most wonderful dinner and chocolate cherry cake.
I was able to open a couple presents which I love!
Brianna and Madeleine (my cousin and sister) came and visited
We had a fun, relaxing night!

Birthdays are the greatest!

*Please note that Trevor bought one "2" candle. He said, "that way we can use it until one of us turns 30!!" Its a great idea, but looks like I'm turning "211" instead of 22.
But at least we have candles for mine :)

winter

winter to me is:

• wet
• cold
• chapped lips
• dry hands
• cold feet the entire time
• dirty (i feel like i always have to wash all my pants)
• hard to get out of bed because i'm afraid of the freezing air
• ugly when inversions set in in utah
• horrible drivers who don't know how to drive in the snow
  

But its also:

• pretty and white some days
• brings hot chocolate season
• inspires me to turn on my oven more which means...
• more baked goods :)
• christmas
• gorgeous mountains
• cute coats
• comfy scarves
• boots

i've never been a big fan of the winter season. this year i'm a bit more indifferent. i'm starting to notice a few more of the better parts of the season.

it is still the very beginning. my feelings could change quickly.

like tomorrow, when i have to go to the DMV at 7 in the a.m. to renew my license.

yes, i have been putting it off day after day and am now forced to wake up early on my very own birthday and head to possibly one of the most miserable places on earth.

oh well.

in 4 minutes it will be officially my birthday.

Trevor's Birthday!!

Trevor's birthday was Sunday. We mostly celebrated on Saturday with cake and presents and
a movie with friends. :)

I made this AMAZING chocolate cake with raspberry filling and cream cheese icing!
It was sooo good.
We had that with some sparkling cider!

Trevor is obsessed with Iron Man. Well, we kinda both are.
I found him this awesome poster!
I meant to get it framed and everything before, but ran out of time.
Isn't it soooo cool??

I made him a new scarf. I made him one last year too, but it was one of the first things I crocheted.
He was grateful for a new one.

We got him this classy new coat! Doesn't he look like a stud??
Its great!
Not only does it look cute, but it also fits over his suit!!!!

My parents got him this great new tie. Its green with silver and blue stripes.
He LOVES it!

I'll be 22 in less than a week. CRAZY!

Its also weird that Trevor is 2 years and 9 days older than me. My birthday is also the same day as his brother Ethan's and now our soon-to-be sister in law's son's. (wow that's not confusing at all)

Well, Thanksgiving starts for us today! :) Trevor's family celebrates on Wednesday every year so that everyone can come and my family is on Thursday.
Its BEAUTIFUL!

I hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving weekend!

P.S. Some snow storm last night. We didn't even get an inch. But we did enjoy the movies and the pizza :)
