Happy Birthday Trevor

Trevor's birthday was yesterday! 

Its always so fun to celebrate birthdays, especially of the one's you love!

It was a really fun day!

Slightly chaotic, but so fun!

Our oven decided to stop working when I was right in the middle of a batch of cookies, so 

the dinner that I had planned didn't get made. 

Bummer.

And we are without an oven or a range until Tuesday. 

At least I finished his special Oreo Cheesecake before the oven died!

Thanks to everyone that came to party with us. 

 

So, happy birthday to my love!

He's the greatest dad and such a hard-working husband.

I'm so lucky to have Trevor in my life and hope that this next year is a great one for him!

Silly things

Silly things seem to happen in our house a lot. 

Phrases like, "There's a reason why you aren't on T.V." (Trevor commenting on my dancing/acting abilities.) or "I want a donut" (the very first sound out of Trevor's mouth the other morning) can give you a small idea of what our house is like.

I guess its pretty safe to say that we have a party everyday together.

I realize I say things like this a lot.

But let's face it, we make each other laugh more than anything,

and we basically live on a diet of ham sandwiches, slurpees, and chocolate donuts.

Throw in some Cafe Rio once a week (or less, or more... depending on finals and our lack of food in the fridge) and its pretty obvious, that you would want to be friends with us.

Anytime you want to come play, just call :) we like friends.

We might just be the coolest people you have ever met.

In other news, the montoya's just found out they're having a boy!!!

Our first year was great!

We got to spend a really great and relaxing day together yesterday

celebrating having survived 1 year married to each other!

Its so great to know that I get so many more years with this guy.

He's my best friend and I couldn't ask for much more than that.

He's also a major goof-ball. He makes me laugh almost as hard as 

Brianna.... 

I love that our night ended with a walk through R.C. Willy (a Utah based furniture store).

We like to day dream. A lot. 

Recently, its been over buying a house and having a dishwasher, washer and dryer.

(the washer and dryer part might happen in this little apartment of ours.... maybe) 

The sad part of the day was, that Trevor was pretty sick again. 

He was really sick during our Honeymoon last year. 

If this becomes a pattern for the weekend of April 23, I don't know how I'm going to feel about that.

Also, I didn't take any pictures. I think that there are only about 30 pictures of us from

the last year because we never take any.

We're just having a nice quiet evening at home for an hour or so, then we have to dive face first back into our homework. This is a busy week for both of us, but we're looking forward to our first married Valentine's day!

The year before that, I ditched Trevor because I was scared of him. We'd been on a few days, and had just had our first kiss and I didn't exactly know what to do. So, I left town for the weekend. Aren't I the best girl friend? haha

15 hour work days are LONG

I started working at Color Me Mine again this past weekend. It was a blast! I had so much fun being able to interact with people and meet some new people. I think that applying and taking this job was one of the best decisions that I've ever made!

Don't get me wrong! I love my other job working for the labs, but I really miss being able to interact with people on a different level. Working for the labs keeps me sitting at a computer in a lonely office 20 hours a week. As great as it is for a student job, it gets really quiet some days and its really nice to be able to mix it up at times and have about 8 hours a week at CMM. It just makes for VERY long days when I work an eight hour shift at one place and then a 6 hour one at another!

Working at Color Me Mine in Provo is a lot different than the one in SLC. It was the busiest shift I've ever had, and there were 3 of us working instead of just 2! I've never experienced that before. It completely wore me out. I was dead tired when I got home well after midnight, but it was sooo worth it!

School and work are keeping us pretty busy these days, but its still been pretty fun! I just can't wait for our 3-day weekend coming up soon!
