Life Lately: April

We've had a fun few weeks! 

Lots of playing and messes, but its been fun!

This photo kills me! 

Hayley makes some great faces sometimes!

I had sinus surgery at the beginning of the month, (more on that later)

so the first little bit of April was pretty low-key, 

but after about a week I started feeling a lot better 

so we were able to get back to some normal fun. 

The girls and I are looking forward to a fun summer with some 

fun activities and things!

I"m throwing together a little schedule of some 

weekly activities we are going to plan on doing. 

We'd love to have our buddies join in on the fun,

so if you want to come, just let me know and I'll send

the schedule your way too! 

Gotta keep summer fun so I don't get overwhelmed 

but the lack of alone time ;)

Life Lately: November

Wow! 

The last few weeks have really been SO crazy!

After Halloween and Daylight savings, 

our girls both caught strep. 

It was a really crummy week! 

Piper stayed home from school with a yucky cough 

for almost a whole week.

And after more than a week, Hayley is finally back to 

her spunky self! 

Being stuck at home made for a rough week. 

We spent lots of time snuggled in front of the TV 

and coloring SO many color-by-number pictures. 

Piper and Trevor had fun at Classic Fun Center for the school's skate night!

And Hayley enjoyed a sleepover with my mom for a night. 

Trevor has some HUGE news! 

He started a new job last week! 

It all happened really fast, but it is a really wonderful blessing 

for our family. 

He's working for a bank in downtown SLC, 

so the commute and early wake-up times 

are going to take some getting used to.

But we are REALLY excited for him and 

for the next steps in our future!

He is still working hard on school and trying to finish his last 

classes as quickly as possible. 

I'm LOVING my new job with Chatbooks. 

The big sale starts tomorrow! 

I'm a little nervous about the chaos that I'm sure is 

heading our way, but I also really enjoy the job!

Life Lately

Well life around here has been really nuts lately. 

I don't think I even have a decent picture to share. 

Nothing really new has happened, so nothing new to report...

I think I've hit a new level of burned out. 

I've been running constantly since July. 

I've taken every violin student possible

(and I LOVE them all! So much!!!) 

I've taken every little job I could think of. 

Its been insane. 

Fun, wild, busy, but insane. 

I decided to find a way to trim something. 

Trevor and I talked for a long time, 

and we decided I needed to stop teaching music time at Piper's preschool.

I have really, really loved it, 

but it has been tricky to fit in our schedule.

I'm really going to miss those kids.

They have been so fun!

The past few months have been intense to say the least. 

We owe our family so much.

We've had so much help and we've both worked SO hard. 

I know all our hard work is going to pay off for our family. 

It has to. 

So, forgive me if I'm a little more absent from my blog. 

I'm exhausted and am just trying to finish strong.

This has been tough for all of us to do.

Having a very small income and lots of stress has been hard on all of us. 

Trevor is looking for a job and I'm sure something wonderful will come our way soon.

He's working hard on school and lots of things. 

And I'm working hard and the girls are being awesome. 

And that's it. 

I'll be back around here soon I'm sure.

Life Lately

Look at that flexible little babe! 

She's amazing!

The last few weeks have been crazy. 

We've all been sick and some of us (Hayley and mommy) have

been extra grumpy. ha ha 

I can honestly say I don't know if I've ever been this sleepy. 

No one has been sleeping well at night, and I'm not sure how I'm even 

keeping my eyes open long enough to type this.

We survived! But it was a rough few weeks.

Life is good and we will keep going even when its tough!

Trevor is working hard, Piper is playing hard, 

Hayley is making messes and destroying things like its her job, 

and violin lessons and music and everything is going well for me. 

WOO! Go us!

(I'm trying to be my own cheerleader! 

Someone's gotta cheer me on so that I can get up and do this all again tomorrow.)

Life Lately: End of October

We've had a fun few weeks enjoying this special time of year.

The girls and I hit up another pumpkin patch.

This time with Piper's preschool. 

We had a blast!

Hayley especially loved the corn. 

Trevor and I took Piper to the TSO Halloween concert. 

It was so fun! 

She loved all the music, costumes, and fun! 

We will have to make this a yearly thing if they keep it up!

And last week we had a few of Piper's little friends over to decorate cookies.

We had pumpkins, bats, and ghosts. 

It was super fun!

We love all our little neighbor friends.

(I forgot to take any pictures. ugh. such a bummer!) 

We are gearing up for some trick-or-treating tonight. 

We've had a fun Halloween season, but I'm glad its nearing the end. 

I think Piper came up into my room 5 times last night to ask if it was

Halloween morning yet. UGH!

life lately: end of September

We've had a fun few weeks!

Piper is loving preschool and we are enjoying this fall weather.

Hayley is our resident cereal thief. 

She helps herself to cereal in the cupboard pretty often. 

She just carries it around the house pulling out handfuls and dropping 

half of them. haha

We really enjoyed conference this past weekend.

I didn't hear much (kids...) but I always enjoy setting aside the time to 

rest and listen to our church leaders. 

I am looking forward to when the printed talks are available.

And I've been re-listening to a few of them on my own.

I enjoyed so many of the talks!

Entertaining kids for a few hours with quiet activities sure is tricky.

But we colored, painted, and did some other crafts. 

And snacks. Lots and lots of snacks!

Piper and I are starting on a new little adventure this month. 

We are trying to do a craft a day until halloween. 

Due to scheduling, we've already missed a few days.

But be on the look-out for some of our pinterest-inspired crafts.

Hopefully she continues to have fun!

life lately: July 2016

July has been crazy busy and fun!

We've had lots going on and its been fun!

We went to my cousin's baby's blessing on Sunday.

I think that picture above is the first photo of the 4 of us in a very long time!

Hayley's avocado mustache!

I wish she would eat in a bib. haha

Waiting at the doctor is tough. 

Piper took swimming lessons for 2 weeks in July. 

She lucked out and happened to have one of her little buddies from preschool in her class!

It was so fun to see her every day!

And I loved getting to chat with her mom!

Sadly, the lessons didn't go so well. 

She mostly just wandered around the pool haha

Maybe next time! 

She's been waking up crazy early the last few weeks! 

Most of the time before 5 am. 

Its been rough for all of us! 

I took that picture on the extremely rare day that she slept until 9!

It was magical! 

I can't believe how busy this month has been or how fast it has flown by!

And we still have the beach to look forward to! 

Hooray!!! 

I'm so excited to take the girls to the beach!

life lately: June 2016

Piper is getting pretty good at taking pictures. 

She got this snap of us on Father's Day and I love it!

We don't have a lot of pictures of us together!

We've hit that tricky part of life with Hayley

where those 3 hours of church are so hard. 

Well, she's actually really fun, but just wants to explore, 

so staying in classes is what's hard. haha

But she's CUTE! 

And I got a new bike! 

Now we all have bikes and we have a trailer for the girls too!

We haven't been on a ride all together yet, 

but hopefully we can really soon! 

Also, I've lost 20 lbs. 

Its been really hard and I'm kinda getting tired of worrying about it, 

but having results are really nice! 

My clothes fit better. 

I have more energy and my back isn't hurting as much!

I still have a ways to go (about 30 more.... ugh.) but I"m proud of how far 

I've come and in just about 3 months!

I have so many pictures of them by this window. 

Usually piper is coloring with her window markers, 

but they just love to be together and they are so cute and fun.

We haven't made it to the pool yet, 

but I think we're having a pretty great summer!

Its nice to have less of a routine and just enjoy being together. 

I think we had ice cream every day last week!

Piper had summer camp at her preschool last week and had a blast!

It was nice for her to have something else to do and for her to be 

with her friends. 

I enjoyed the extra 4 hours of quieter time, too!

I said something about it a few posts back,

but I've also taken on a handful of new violin students. 

I just about doubled my studio, which is quiet a lot!

Its been wonderful and has really stretched my teaching muscles. 

I'm grateful for the challenge and the extra income. 

WE LOVE SUMMER! 

In July we are looking forward to:

swimming lessons

both girls' birthdays

THE BEACH! 

some pool days

movies 

and even more ice cream!
