Little Updates: Trevor and Rebecca - Nov and Dec 2017

Life has been so fun and crazy for us lately! 

I've been super busy working for Chatbooks and teaching violin lessons. 

Piper and Hayley keep me pretty busy too! haha

But they've been getting along and playing so well lately,

it's awesome!

Trevor started a new job a few weeks ago! 

I know! I swear I did just post about his woodworking job, 

but now we've moved on again!

And this is such a great move!

He's working downtown SLC for a bank. 

The commute is long, and the days seem really long

at home without him. 

But we are all adjusting and are SO happy with the new job 

and new company!

Because of his new job, Trevor has now joined the iPhone family.

It has been another transition for sure, but he's getting used to it.

haha

We both had birthdays in November!

Nothing super exciting, it has just been SO busy. haha

But the kids love celebrating and we love being together. 

We are doing really well! 

I'm so happy for Trevor and we feel so blessed!

This new job is such a blessing.

An answer to SO many prayers!

We are both filled with so much gratitude! 

Little updates: The Girls - December 2017

The girls have had a fun few weeks!

We've enjoyed lots of play time and some fun family adventures!

They rediscovered our dress ups a few weeks ago. 

Its awesome!

They always crack me up!

Piper is finally starting to let me do her hair more. 

Even as a little person, she HATED letting me touch her hair. 

I'm probably enjoying it more than she is!

And I don't feel like I need to keep cutting it short like I have in the past. 

Piper is doing really well in school! 

She's actually wanting to read and its fun to learn with her! 

She's very bright!

I will never get over picking her up from school.

It is the highlight of my day watching her run as fast as she can to my car!

I just LOVE her!

Hayley is being her usual spunky self!

She has a lot of opinions but she's always cracking us up. 

She asks to go to my mom's every day

and is starting to get a lot easier to understand!

Hooray for all of us!

They are having fun and are looking forward to Christmas!

We need to get our letters off to Santa soon!

Life Lately: November

Wow! 

The last few weeks have really been SO crazy!

After Halloween and Daylight savings, 

our girls both caught strep. 

It was a really crummy week! 

Piper stayed home from school with a yucky cough 

for almost a whole week.

And after more than a week, Hayley is finally back to 

her spunky self! 

Being stuck at home made for a rough week. 

We spent lots of time snuggled in front of the TV 

and coloring SO many color-by-number pictures. 

Piper and Trevor had fun at Classic Fun Center for the school's skate night!

And Hayley enjoyed a sleepover with my mom for a night. 

Trevor has some HUGE news! 

He started a new job last week! 

It all happened really fast, but it is a really wonderful blessing 

for our family. 

He's working for a bank in downtown SLC, 

so the commute and early wake-up times 

are going to take some getting used to.

But we are REALLY excited for him and 

for the next steps in our future!

He is still working hard on school and trying to finish his last 

classes as quickly as possible. 

I'm LOVING my new job with Chatbooks. 

The big sale starts tomorrow! 

I'm a little nervous about the chaos that I'm sure is 

heading our way, but I also really enjoy the job!

Little Update: Trevor and Rebecca

Life for us has been crazy and fun lately!

Trevor actually started a new job a few weeks ago. 

He's working at a wood shop building custom doors. 

There are SO pretty!

Just a few more weeks left in this semester

and we are trying SO hard to finish these

last few classes before it ends!

I've been busy with a handful of things.

My girls, violin, life, and everything. 

I was recently called as the Young Women Beehive Adviser

which has been SUPER fun! 

And just today, I got a new job that I'm super excited about!

Its only seasonal, but I'm really hoping it can continue longer!

Its with Chatbooks, my favorite company EVER! 

Seriously though. I've been getting my own chatbooks for ages!

We are having fun as usual.

We can't wait for school to be finished for Trevor, 

and hopefully a higher paying job will follow!

Life sure is busy, but we are happy and finding ways to have fun!

Little Updates: Piper Edition

I thought it would be fun to break up our little updates!

So this one is all about our little Piper, 

who isn't so little anymore! 

She is LOVING being able to turn on our fireplace.

She loves being "totally cozy."

We took the girls to see the new My Little Pony movie, 

and they both loved it! 

If you ask Piper about her favorite part, she says,

"All the parts were my most favorite!" 

Pretending to be mannequins at the mall! 

A favorite activity!

We got her cute school pictures back this last week, 

and had her first (and ours) parent-teacher conference!

Her sweet teacher had nothing but good things to say, 

which made me so happy! 

She really is a great girl! 

She's being such a good big sister!

I love watching them together! 

We had our primary program this weekend. 

Piper was so fun to watch!

She knew SO many of the songs and delivered her line 

with her typical spunk! 

Love love love this girl! 

Weekend Fun!

We have had a really fun few weeks! 

We took the girls to see Cars 3! 

It was so fun and both of them were SO good!

Except for Piper spilling the entire tub of popcorn the minute we set down. 

haha

Madeleine came down for Sunday dinner!

We had a blast after dinner playing some tennis!

Its been ages since I've played, so it was really fun.

Piper enjoyed it and Hayley was wild! haha

Hayley kicks us out of our bed almost every morning. 

Little stinker. 

Trevor and I got to go to the first BYU football game of the season. 

(THANKS GRANDMA!) 

We had a blast! 

It was crazy hot and I'm pretty sure I got some heat exhaustion.

I felt crummy for a few days after. 

But we had so much fun! 

We've never been to a game together, 

and we enjoyed the date! 

Father's Day - 2017 (and more)

We had such a fun day celebrating our guy! 

We are all really blessed to have him in our family! 

He makes everything more fun and the girls just ADORE him!

And in other GREAT news,

Trevor got a job!!! 

Its not the dream job or anything, but its going to be great! 

He is working for Myler Disability and started this morning. 

I'm so excited for him and so ready to move on to a new chapter. 

But a little nervous to be home alone with my buddies again. 

I got used to running errands alone. haha

We were able to go to the Orem Summerfest Carnival a few weeks ago. 

Soooo many pictures, but this was the only cute one: 

She's such a doll! 

That's about it from us. 

We are really excited about Trevor's new job and going to be settling into 

a new normal.

Job Update

Well.... 

Trevor ended up resigning from that job. 

only 2 days in.

Without going into all the details, 

it wasn't a good fit and turned out to be nothing like

he thought it would be. 

Bit of a bummer,

but we have faith that something will work out for us

and it will be amazing!

I was also offered a job. 

A photography job.

It would've been so fun,

but I turned it down as well.

I really love teaching violin and 

I can't do both violin and the big photography job 

at the same time, and still be the kind of mom

that I want to be. 

Its been a really, really long few weeks. 

Wonderful, challenging, busy few weeks. 

It feels like we are at a cross-roads and I can't wait 

to see where the next few months take us. 

spring....ITS COMING

And we are SO excited!

We hit up the park the other day when it was warm. 

Both girls went wild.

It was like they'd never been outside before! 

They made some friends, went down some slides, and ran around like it was their job!

Winter isn't over, but it sure made me excited for the warmer months.

We sure love playing outside and I'm ready for some of the mess to leave the house.

And no more arguments over wearing coats. 

Winter is hard.

Hayley lately

This girl! 

She is too much! 

She is spunky and opinionated like her sister,

but she is also extra loving. 

She LOVES animals and baby dolls. 

She is getting pickier about food,

but its getting better since we got her a new seat.

She was really hating her high chair.

She doesn't say much.

But what she does say is adorable!

She says:

Piper (she's only said it once or twice, but its the CUTEST!)

And she knows so many animal sounds!

She also knows where her nose, eyes, ears, and tongue are. 

She is such a fun little girl! 

We went through a phase where she was pretty frustrated, 

but she's doing better and is starting to communicate more. 

She doesn't talk much, but she is figuring our her own way. 

Like bringing us dishes when she's hungry or knocking on the fridge 

when she wants a bottle. 

She and Piper are starting to play more and it is my most favorite thing in the 

entire world.

I love watching these girls grow up together!

Even if things are a little nuts. haha

life lately: november 2016

 

We've been enjoying the fall weather lately.

Its been so nice out!

We're supposed to get snow later in the week, and I'm not looking forward to it.

 

This Hayley of ours is just too fun!

She's also a grouch sometimes, but that's OK.

She just wants what she wants. haha

 

And we are back into our crafts again.

We used q-tips to make indian corn. 

Piper loved this one! It was SUPER easy!

And hopefully I will get my act together and we will do some more fun ones this week.

 

November is birthday month for us! 

Trevor's is the 21.

HE'S GOING TO BE 30!!! 

WHAT!?!?!?!

And mine is the 30th.

It sure keeps us busy having both our birthdays right around 

Thanksgiving, but its fun!
Lots of family time! 

Piper had the stomach flu last week, but she is doing lots better.

It made for a few sleepless nights though. 

Between daylight savings, the election, and Piper getting sick,

it was a LONG week, that's for sure! 

But we survived!
