piper lately

This 4-year-old is a really fun one!
She's been super into helping with jobs around the house
and is so fun to play with.
She and Hayley are pretty fun together!
Piper always gets her to laugh in the car.

Here are a few silly things she's said lately,

"I'm going to go home and pray to Jesus to tell you to have another baby.
I know you won't grow another baby in your belly if I ask,
so I will have Jesus ask you."
Ha ha ha! Good luck with that one kid!

She really doesn't enjoy being hot and she complains about the sun all the time.
Today she asked if I "could control the world for a minute to have the sun
stop shining in my eyes. It would be really nice."
haha

She's so fun! We are looking forward to a weekend playing at the condo with our
little buddies!

Be on the lookout for a post about Hayley soon!
She has turned into a full-blown toddler and is cracking us up constantly.

Piper says:

Piper is still cracking us up all the time.
She's been playing some silly games lately and
just saying the funniest stuff.

Yesterday we were out on a scooter ride
and she looked at me, completely serious
and asked, "why did Jesus and Heavenly Father make the
world so bumpy?"
haha

The other day, her foot fell asleep, and she was trying to describe the feeling to me.
She was crying because her foot wasn't working, and then it was buzzing.
I thought those were some perfect words to describe it.

She has her Holidays a bit mixed up.
For St. Patrick's Day, a little leprechaun came and played some tricks
on us and left her some gold chocolate coins.
Then we had the silliest conversation.
She said, "Are there eggs outside for me to gather?"
And I was thinking she meant from chickens,
some of her friends families' have chickens,
so I said, "no silly. we don't have chickens."
She started getting really frustrated and said,
"NO those eggs that are different colors that go in a basket."
And I finally started figuring it out.
She thought that the leprechaun brought eggs for an
Easter Egg hunt.
haha
So I had to explain that to her.
She's silly and I love it!

piper says

Piper is really SO funny!

A few weeks ago, we were talking about our family scripture for January.
Its 3Nephi 12:48
"Therefore, I would that ye should be perfect even as I
or my Father, who is in Heaven in perfect."

We were explaining to Piper that we are all trying to be like Jesus.
We listed off a few qualities that we knew she could understand
like being a good friend, being kind to everyone, following the commandments.
And she looked at me, completely serious and said,
"But I can't be like Jesus because I don't have a beard."

This made us crack up!
She's so funny!
I wish everyone could hang out with us for a day.
Then you'd know just how fun she is!
Even if she does drive us nuts sometimes.

Piper says

Guys. 3 is hard. Really hard.
But it is also a riot!
I just have to share a few Piper stories before I forget them.

We were out for a drive one night, and decided to grab a swig.
Piper likes me to roll down her window so she can order her own drink.
Yes. 3 going on about 16. :)
So, I rolled down her window and she says,
"I'm Piper and can I have a 16 ounce lemo-wade please."
The kid taking our order died laughing.
So, naturally, Piper kept talking.
He asked her how old she was and she said, "3. I'm a big girl and 3 whole years old.
"and my full name is Piper Elizabeth Lewis."
She just kept on chatting with the guy.
I'm sure the people waiting behind us were not thrilled with how long
we spent at the order window.

We still have daily conversations about getting married.
Every time we drive past the temple she tells me,
"That's where I'm going to marry my special boy.
Like you married daddy.
I can't marry daddy because he married you.
I'm going to marry a boy named Andy,
I just haven't met him yet."
I REALLY hope she does marry someone named Andy.
That would be hilarious!

A few nights ago, we had a little neighborhood get-together dinner.
Trevor was working, so I went with the girls.
Piper was hilarious.
She waltzed right in like she owned the place
and proudly announced to everyone,
"Look! My mom isn't pregnant anymore!
Hayley is out of her tummy!"
hahaha
She's a nut!

And just last night, I was up feeding Hayley
and heard Piper talking, pretty loud in her room.
I went to see what she was doing and asked who she was talking to,
She pointed to the other side of her room and looked at me like I was
crazy and said, "Them."
haha
She has a great little imagination!

I love her little sense of humor too.
She finds the silliest things hilarious and I love it!

She can really push my buttons and drive me a little crazy, but I'm so lucky to be her mom!

This girl is meant to be on a stage somehow!
Check out this video!
I think this was the 3rd or 4th time she made us applaud for her entrance.
haha!

Love my girls!

Piper says

Piper has been saying lots of funny things lately.
But I have a few favorites.

Now, whenever she's playing with her books,
she always says,
"According to my book...."
and then goes on to say other things.
It cracks me up!

And whenever we are getting together with someone she
hasn't seen in a while,
she says, "Oh! I haven't seen you in a couple whiles!"
Its my favorite!

She's a riot!
And she will probably KILL me later in life, but I just have to post this video.
She's feeding her baby and it is so funny!
I think I watch it every day!

Love my girls so much!

Piper says:

2 year olds sure say some funny things!
Here are some things our little girl has said lately.

She always says, "This is awesome" or "this is the best ever!"
when she is having fun.

My cousin, Alec, was in the hospital again a few weeks ago
(He just got a new liver, and is doing well!)
and when I told Piper about it she asked,
"Is he getting another new leg?"
So close. haha

Sometimes when we are driving in the car,
I quiz her on her animal sounds, or songs or things.
Once, I was asking her about family names.
She keeps everyone in pairs, like "mommy and daddy" and "brianna and rob", etc.
So, I asked her who went with Tori and she said, "Sophie."
That's Tori's dog. haha!

Since Carly has been on her mission,
we have had a handful of conversations about missions.
Piper always tells me that she "wants to go on a mission like Carly."
And everytime we drive by the MTC, which is almost every day,
she talks about the missionaries.
Its pretty cute!
I've actually been thinking about trying to have the missionaries in our stake over
for dinner sometime.
Piper would probably love it!

And a couple of cute videos:

Love this kid! She's so fun!
