life lately

Well, its been almost a month since our little Hayley came.

I can't believe it!

It has been wonderful and we all love our new little girl!

We haven't done a whole lot because I haven't wanted to take Hayley out much,

but we did make it up to the condo in Park City for a night with my parents

and Madeleine,

(before my horrible allergies caught up with me and we had to leave. bummer!) 

And we've done some fun "mom school" lessons, 

got Piper signed up for preschool 

(she starts in about 2 weeks) 

and spent lots of time loving on our new little girl!

Trevor's Birthday and other pics from the last week!

 We had a really fun week!

Trevor has been so busy and working crazy hours the last 

few weeks. 

So, he took some extra time off on Friday for his birthday.

It was wonderful to have him around!

We went to dinner all by ourselves (thanks Madeleine and McCall!) 

and had such a blast! 

I love this guy!

We sure love having him around!

 

We took Piper to see Abby's play Cinderella last week.

She LOVED it!

Abby was one of the step-sisters and she totally stole the show!

She was SO funny!

 Piper loved watching Abby, but I think the highlight for her was 

meeting Cinderella  and the fairy godmother during intermission.

So fun! 

My little hairstylist at work. 

She has gotten really into doing and brushing my hair.

Its kinda fun, but mostly painful. haha

Our little Piper is doing so well in her new big girl bed.

Its actually going much better than I expected.

But, I keep finding her in silly sleeping positions, like the one above.

Well, we are looking forward to a really great Thanksgiving week

and tons of family time!

Its going to be the best!

the last little week (or so)

We can't help but get a kick out of her little voice.

and noisy. haha

We've had some pretty usual days around these parts lately.

Just violin lessons, school, work, and some fun play dates.

The usual.

But its always fun.

 Here are some pictures:

 We finally switch Piper into a toddler bed.

Tonight.

She's pretty excited about it, but so far, she isn't sleeping in it.

Making Christmas ornaments.

Fall isn't my most favorite time of year...

it means that winter is coming. 

And then everyone in my house has freezing cold hands.

But I do love all of the colors!

 That's about it from us this time!

sleep regression

We've been battling some major sleep regression the last 2 weeks or so.

Boy, it is rough. 

Piper used to go down around 7 and sleep for 12 hours. Sometimes more. 

Now, its a dream if we can get her down before 9. 

And she's up between 6 and 6:30 every morning.

We are worn out!

And then she's exhausted so she's grumpy ALL day.

And won't take a nap. 

Its pretty much horrible.

Anyone have any weird advice? 

I feel like we've tried everything that I can find online. 

I will try ANYTHING to get through this. 

Trevor and I are both at wits end. 

And to top it all off, Trevor hurt his lower back and can't bend over, twist, or much of anything.

And I tore something in my foot/ankle. Not sure what, but I'm in pain and its awful. 

Pretty much, October has turned out to be a rough one. 

But we have had some good times...

But we are looking forward to a fun Halloween week!

I just need to finish up Piper's costume.

the past few weeks

Things have been busy and fun the last few weeks. 

Here we go:

Our sweet cousin Sydnee was baptized. 

It was such a great morning to spend with family! 

We are so proud of her. 

We spent Saturday of conference weekend with my family up in SLC. 

Piper got in some fun play time with Miles. 

She's been talking about him for the last 3 days. 

We try to do something creative every day.

Its usually coloring or painting, but sometimes we get more adventurous.

Madeleine drew that darling sketch of Piper.

Isn't it sooo good! 

I kinda love it!

And a very rare sight:

We've had a very fun couple of weeks!

Now we are in the midst of the usual violin lessons and busy with play dates.

Next week is ALL play though! 

I have the week off lessons and have some fun things planned for me and my girl!

We're excited!

our little week: Sept 7-13

We had a surprisingly busy week around these parts.

But we managed to fit in a lot of fun!

Most of our days were spent at home teaching violin and all that.

I made this Christmas garland:

Trevor and I went to see Gaurdians of the Galaxy one night.

Fun movie!

Piper had a fun sleepover with Mama K and Papa.

 I think I made, and ate 3 peach cobblers this week. 

Oops. haha

And here is our little princess all ready for church!

Our little escape artist is at it again.

She can unlock the deadbolt on our front door and get out. 

It makes me so nervous that she will run out when I'm in the shower or something.

Its her new favorite thing to do to distract me during lessons.

I've been spending a lot of time with my violin the past few days

getting ready for an audition.

She usually just gets up here and yells for help 

because she's too scared she's going to fall.

I went to a fun craft night at a friend's house this week.

We made menu boards for our kitchens.

I'll have to post a picture of mine next week.

(I'm too lazy to get off the couch and do it now. haha)
