life lately: july 2017

July is birthday month!

Both our girls had birthdays and it was SO fun! 

Hayley likes to make herself comfortable. haha

Shoes off, laying down and coloring on the floor. 

She's the best!

Our cousins were all in town for a family reunion (more on that later.) 

and we had Gus and Stella over to play.

It was so fun!

We also had a little girls night while the boys were out camping. 

Piper loved hanging with her big cousins and I enjoyed some grown-up time. haha

We attempted another Friday hike. 

We didn't make it as far this time which was a bummer. 

Piper stepped on a little garden snake about 5 minutes up the trail. 

Poor girl! And poor snake!

Trevor made me this gorgeous flower box! 

I am obsessed and want a bunch more!

Workout time! 

This month, I started working with my cousin to help with my

nutrition and weight loss. 

I've been counting macros and working out 4 days a week. 

I'm already noticing changes in my body, and its been really motivating to 

have someone holding me accountable. 

We had a fun month and are looking forward to a fun August!

I've got lots going on with violin, and Piper starts Kindergarten in a few weeks

so I'm sure we will be busy. 

Job Update

Well.... 

Trevor ended up resigning from that job. 

only 2 days in.

Without going into all the details, 

it wasn't a good fit and turned out to be nothing like

he thought it would be. 

Bit of a bummer,

but we have faith that something will work out for us

and it will be amazing!

I was also offered a job. 

A photography job.

It would've been so fun,

but I turned it down as well.

I really love teaching violin and 

I can't do both violin and the big photography job 

at the same time, and still be the kind of mom

that I want to be. 

Its been a really, really long few weeks. 

Wonderful, challenging, busy few weeks. 

It feels like we are at a cross-roads and I can't wait 

to see where the next few months take us. 

life lately: november 2016

 

We've been enjoying the fall weather lately.

Its been so nice out!

We're supposed to get snow later in the week, and I'm not looking forward to it.

 

This Hayley of ours is just too fun!

She's also a grouch sometimes, but that's OK.

She just wants what she wants. haha

 

And we are back into our crafts again.

We used q-tips to make indian corn. 

Piper loved this one! It was SUPER easy!

And hopefully I will get my act together and we will do some more fun ones this week.

 

November is birthday month for us! 

Trevor's is the 21.

HE'S GOING TO BE 30!!! 

WHAT!?!?!?!

And mine is the 30th.

It sure keeps us busy having both our birthdays right around 

Thanksgiving, but its fun!
Lots of family time! 

Piper had the stomach flu last week, but she is doing lots better.

It made for a few sleepless nights though. 

Between daylight savings, the election, and Piper getting sick,

it was a LONG week, that's for sure! 

But we survived!

july 2015... my nightmare.

After a few really really crazy weeks, 

we are gearing up to have our baby girl on Thursday!

We are still waiting to hear about our induction time and things, but 

that's the plan. 

Wish us luck and any extra prayers would be great! 

Here's the story... basically since July 1st, I've been in the hospital 

4 times. 

Twice for false labor. 

Once for observation after a VERY minor car accident. 

And the fourth time, for a nasty rib injury.

Since I'm pregnant, I didn't get an x-ray, so we aren't 100% sure if there's a break 

or not, but its awful. 

For a week, I could barely even move, but I'm doing better now.

Ice and some good pain killers are helping lots. 

We are a bit worried that I'm going to re-injure it during labor and delivery, 

but I'm hoping spending more than a week on ice and barely moving 

will give me the upper hand and that things won't be too bad. 

It has been a rough last few weeks on me, 

but I'm surviving! 

I just can't wait to see this baby girl in just 2 days!!!! 

Piper has been so awesome!

I've had lots of help from family and friends, but even when its just the two 

of us hanging out, 

she's been such a good listener and cool with just chillin on the couch with me. 

And, her birthday is SUNDAY! 

I can't believe she's 3! 

We are going to party in a few weeks once things settle a little, 

and we can't wait!

And that's basically all that's going on around here!

Just one more day to pack my hospital bag and get a couple things done!

This has been a fun and exciting week for us! 

We went to the pool with cousins, did some real potty training, 

and painted mom's toes. haha 

I've been really sick the last few weeks with a nasty cough.

And because I'm super pregnant, coughing usually ends up with me 

throwing up. Its been really rough.

Thankfully Dr. Piper is always near by to help!

Tiny baby laundry! 

Just getting ready for this girl to come! 

You know, nesting like a crazy person. haha

We've got about a month until my induction date. 

CRAZY! 

But I honestly feel like she could come even earlier. 

Who knows! 

The last few weeks of pregnancy are awful hard. 

I don't think that there is anything that can teach patience quite like pregnancy can. 

Feeling miserable, huge, hot, and so tired is exhausting. 

Hopefully I can make it through these next weeks in one piece!

I have to be honest.. in an effort to stay off my phone more, 

I'm finding myself taking less and less pictures and videos. 

I need to be better about pulling out the other camera and getting more pictures 

of our crazy little girl. 

But here are a few from the last few weeks:

And we went and painted at Color Me Mine last week.

I hadn't taken Piper in yet, and she LOVED it!

It was nice to go back too. 

I haven't been in a long time. Its always fun to go back and do something

creative for a minute. 

And that's about it! 

We spent some time in SLC with family celebrating Brianna who is about to have 

a baby! 

And I've been enjoying our new little babe's hiccups, wiggles, and kicks almost 

constantly the last week.

She NEVER stops moving... just like her big sister. 

And she can kick HARD for being so little.

I"m a bit worried that she will break one of my ribs before this pregnancy is over.

Just 3 months to go!!!! 

And LOTS to do! But I can't wait! 

And that's about it!

life lately

Well, Trevor pointed out that I hadn't posted in a while.

So, I guess its about time. haha

We've had a fun few weeks together!

Just being pregnant, working, school, teaching, and enjoying the amazing 

spring weather we've been having lately!

We've been outside so much that I think Piper has forgotten 

how to play inside. haha

We had a fun neighborhood easter egg hunt over the weekend. 

Piper loved it!  

And we had a ton of fun just playing outside in the sunshine. 

In other news, we've had some car trouble lately. 

Its been tricky to figure out what to do exactly, 

but things are looking good. 

Baby girl and I are past half way now and are doing great!

She's super wiggly and I'm feeling lots and lots better.

I still have tired days, and I'm pretty sore, but at least the throwing up stopped. 

We can't wait to meet our baby girl! 

17 weeks to go! Hopefully less :)
